HIGH PROTEIN CHOCOLATE MUFFINS (GLUTEN FREE!)
I stumbled across this idea while looking for an interesting use for hemp protein.
Hemp is one of the most nutritious foods on the planet. It’s one of the few plant-based complete proteins. Hemp protein is also one of the easiest proteins to digest. It’s grain-free, nut-free, gluten-free, and vegan. It’s also a great source of iron, calcium, and the only naturally-occurring non-meat source of Vitamin D.
This recipe is easy, quick, and makes for a great high-protein snack. Best of all, chocolate is delicious any time!
Time: 30 minutes
1/2 cup hemp protein powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup of cocao powder
8 squares dark chocolate
1/2 cup of dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup honey
1 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
– Pre heat oven to 325
– Prep a muffin pan with cupcake liners
– Put all ingredients except almond milk in a mixer, and blend thoroughly.
– Add milk and mix in
– Pour batter into muffin tin leaving about 1/4″ at the top of each
– Bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until knife comes out clean
